Cacao Protein Bliss Balls

Who doesn’t love a mid-afternoon chocolate treat to break up the day? These decadent and chocolatey bliss balls are full of plant protein and healthy fats, to act as a sweet treat as well as a brain-boosting snack to fill you up for the afternoon (without the sugar crash!). Vegan foodie Soph from @_myfoodgram⁠ on Instagram shares her favourite protein bliss ball recipe, using Kiki Health Organic Hemp Protein Powder.


  • 10 Dates (soaked in hot water & drained) ⁠

  • Small handful of walnuts ⁠

  • Small handful of almonds ⁠

  • 1/3 cup of oats ⁠

  • 3 tablespoons of cacao powder ⁠

  • 3 tablespoons of Kiki Health Hemp Protein Powder⁠

  • 1/3 cup of shredded coconut⁠

  • Pinch of salt ⁠


First, soak the dates in hot water. In a blender, mix all other ingredients together until you create a flour-like texture. Drain the dates, add them to the mix and continue to blend. The dough should become sticky so can then roll into balls. You can play with the measurements for desired taste and texture – there are no real ‘rules’! Refrigerate for an hour or so if needed, then enjoy! Kept refrigerated, these are the perfect on-the-go snack for work, school lunches or after-gym snacks.
